The MTM Hydro 1/4" Plated Steel Quick Connect Plug x 1/4" MPT provides a fast, economical, and reliable solution for high-pressure quick-connect joints. Designed for durability and ease of use, this fitting allows for quick attachment and removal while maintaining a secure, leak-free seal.
As a general rule, MTM Hydro 1/4" fittings are commonly used at the end of the pressure washing system, such as on the spray wand or at the outlet of the spray gun. This model features exposed male pipe threads (MPT), while female versions have internal threads-refer to product images for identification.
All MTM Hydro plated steel plugs are manufactured with National Pipe Thread (NPT), utilizing a tapered thread design that seals through controlled thread interference.
Installation Notes:

Use 4-5 wraps of Teflon tape (clockwise) or 2-3 drops of Loctite thread sealant -
NPT to BSP (or BSP to NPT):

Use 6-7 wraps of Teflon tape or 2-3 drops of Loctite

Increased resistance during tightening is normal
