The MTM Hydro 1/4" Plated Steel Quick Connect Plug x 1/4" FPT provides a fast, economical, and dependable solution for high-pressure quick-connect joints. Designed for durability and ease of use, this fitting allows quick attachment and removal while maintaining a secure, leak-free seal.
As a general rule, MTM Hydro 1/4" fittings are commonly used at the end of the pressure washing system, such as on the spray wand or at the outlet of the spray gun. This model features internal female pipe threads (FPT), while male versions have exposed threads-refer to product images for identification.
All MTM Hydro plated steel plugs are manufactured with National Pipe Thread (NPT), utilizing a tapered thread design that seals through controlled thread interference.
Installation Notes:

NPT to NPT:
Use 4-5 wraps of Teflon tape (clockwise) or 2-3 drops of Loctite thread sealant -
NPT to BSP (or BSP to NPT):

Use 6-7 wraps of Teflon tape or 2-3 drops of Loctite

Increased resistance during tightening is normal

A proper seal will still be achieved when installed correctly
