The MTM Hydro 1/2" Plated Steel Quick Connect Plug x 1/2" FPT offers a fast, economical, and dependable solution for high-pressure quick-connect joints. All MTM Hydro steel plugs are manufactured with National Pipe Thread (NPT), utilizing a tapered thread design that seals through controlled thread interference.
Installation Notes:

NPT to NPT:
Use 4-5 wraps of Teflon tape (clockwise) or 2-3 drops of Loctite thread sealant -
NPT to BSP (or BSP to NPT):

Use 6-7 wraps of Teflon tape or 2-3 drops of Loctite

Increased resistance during tightening is normal

A proper seal will still be achieved when installed correctly
